Welcome to Stage It! Academy

 

At Stage It!, we strongly believe that every child should be given the opportunity to take part in performing arts. We work with our students to discover and develop talents and skills across a wide range of disciplines. We know that each student will have individual interests and needs, and our aim is to support these in a fun and encouraging environment.

 

Stage It! prides itself on a high quality tuition, following a contemporary syllabus which not only covers the essentials of acting, singing and dance, but also gives our students opportunities to explore less conventional performing arts training, including stage management, film making and much more. We also feel that our students will develop a range of important life skills by attending our sessions, such as confidence, team working and project work. Students will join Stage It! with different needs and confidence levels and we work towards attaining individualised goals throughout the term - whether this is just having the confidence to walk out on stage in front of an audience, or to take a lead role or a singing or dance solo, for example.

 

Our teachers all have significant experience in the performing arts and also in working with children. All our teachers have enhanced DBS checks. We have a qualified first aider at every session, rehearsal and performance. To learn more about our staff, please click here.

 

Our sessions are designed to offer a variety of different performing arts experiences each week. We put on performances in July and December each year, which will showcase the students' talents and progress over the term.

We also run occasional class and school trips and other performance opportunities - in the past this has included a dance performance at the Royal Albert Hall and performing in the Tamworth Hastilow Drama Festival.
